Comic Relief – Red Nose Day 2024
Jump created a selection of graphics for this year’s Red Nose Day 2024 including a logo for Comic Relief’s tribute to the brilliant Lenny Henry, who was hosting the event for the final time this year. The show was called A Whole Lotta Lenny and aired shortly after Comic Relief.
We also sent the dream team of Callum O’Reilly and Tom Holmes up to Manchester to be in attendance for the rehearsals and live broadcast. Their mission was to be easily on hand to create graphics for the studio screens and swiftly handle any last minute changes or new requests.
Callum O’Reilly – Senior Designer at Jump:
“We had a blast working with the team again this year creating graphics for the studio set screens.
As well as some full-studio screen takeovers, we also had the opportunity to design logos, title sequences and loops for ‘Murder on the Dartboard’ and ‘Whole Lotta Lenny’. The highlight for me was Sir Lenny pointing out the logo design we made for his show (on the screen behind him) and saying “I love this – I’d like that on the front of my house”.
Later on, the team asked for the cartoon we drew of him to be supplied as a present to the good man himself. I hope they printed it house-sized!
The long days and nights flew by because of the fantastic team we were working with. They were so hugely welcoming – we really appreciated it.
I’m also pleased we initiated the dancing at the after party and were very much the last ones standing too. Kudos to Tommy for being such a fab dancing machine!”
