Client: SHIFT Active Media For Continental Tyres
In 2022, Jumped teamed up with SHIFT Active Media to create a launch promo for Continental’s new mountain bike tyres called the Gravity range.
Continental has just launched a new trail-specific range – so we slipped on our knee pads, lowered our goggles and jumped back on the graphics saddle to create another spectacular promo showcasing the science behind these new treads.

This new film takes place in the same world as the previous promo but with an evolved look – now made up of green, flowing outdoor trails. The shift towards this colour is to represent the natural environment, the types of trail riding and to visually differentiate this film from the first.
For this promo’s journey we follow a group of three riders – with each representing one of the new tyres.
Dubnital, Trinotal and Magnotal.
The team at SHIFT spent the day with a talented rider in the Forest Of Dean and captured him carving up the trails. We delivered a shoot spec that would save us time in post but allow us plenty of flexibility to add dynamism later.

“After a round of complex rotoscoping, we placed the rider on a card within the C4D scene. This allowed us to add subtle camera moves to the action in post. We roughly matched the real terrain with geometry, then built the new landscape around the rider.
We replaced the real rider and bike with CGI versions for the bullet-time close-ups. This allowed us to hero the tyres in action, focusing on that all-important contact point with the terrain.”
